Stacey, Kate, Chelsea & Priya
Stacey holds a Diploma in Children's Services, a Certificate 3 in Children's Services and a Certificate of Dance Teaching; added to this - experience working with children since 1998 and 5 beautiful children of her own. After selling her Dance School in 2011, Stacey discovered that she wanted to continue working with children. She joined Tarragindi Child Care & Development in 2012 working with the babies, and along with her lead educator set about creating a place where children feel comfortable and confident to learn and to develop and express themselves. Stacey believes in building relationships with the children and families - being a part of their journey in the early years. Friendships are the essence of relationships and it all starts within a child's early years. Stacey feels it a privilege and an honour to be part of a child's earliest memories. She also believes each child is a unique individual, developing at their own pace - this enhanced through play. Stacey takes great pride in providing children with the highest quality care and education, and providing parents with peace of mind as she supports their children to explore their environments and assist them on their learning journey.
Kate joined Tarragindi Child Care & Development in February 2014. Prior to this Kate had completed 8 years service in a long day centre and her Certificate 3 in Children’s Services. Kate’s philosophy is to be passionate, caring, patient, fair and a fun educator. She is keen to seek advice and further her knowledge and skills, recognising that in early childhood education there is always something more to know. Kate promotes each child’s interest, culture, learning, development and individuality through play based experiences. She works hard to build a respectful relationship with the children and their families. She is dedicated to providing quality care for the children in her care.
Priya, after commencing at Prior Street Child Care & Development in 2011, came to work at Tarragindi Child Care & Development as a support educator in 2012. She is a great support assisting with all groups across the centre. Priya, who holds a Certificate 3 in Children's Services, has further experience caring for and guiding children through her Church and in her role as a Priest's wife (since 1994 ). She has experience as a cultural support worker for the Multicultural Development Association in Brisbane.
Chelsea who holds a Diploma in Children Service’s and a Certificate 111 in Community Services, has worked in the child care industry for 23 years (including previously at Tarragindi Child Care & Development between 2000 – 2010, then re-joining us in 2018).
She is passionate and dedicated to supporting families, children, colleagues and community – demonstrated through roles including; After School Care Coordinator, Assistant Educator, Lead Educator and Home Based Child Care Coordinator. She has a solid knowledge of the early years through her work with children aged 6 weeks to 12 years; further she has extensive, diverse experience working with families – particularly from her role as a Home Based Child Care coordinator where she spent time working alongside families and children with additional needs and working toward inclusion in main stream services.
Chelsea loves watching how children learn - processing and developing their personality and skills. She feels privileged to work alongside each child as they absorb the world around them and start to learn the lifelong skills that they start to learn at such a young age. She believes that all children deserve to feel safe, happy, loved, secure and confident.
Chelsea has two children of her own (aged 15 and 13 years) and also happily shares with her parents the guardianship of nieces and nephews aged 3, 8, 11, 12 years (they have actually attend TCCD over the years).
